BRONZE SCULPTURE (RAMAKIEN)
The story of Ramayana
originated in India about 2000 years ago and tells a classic tale of good and
evil. The Thai version, 'Ramakien', taught to all Thais at school, relates
the story of Gods, Demons, Prince Rama, his wife Sida and Hanuman the heroic
monkey general.
Ramakien manifests itself in many artforms in Thailand including; temple painting, sculpture, classical dance, theatre, puppet shows & music
